Florence M. Sweeney

Sweeney, Florence M., age 96, of Middletown, passed away peacefully early Saturday, May 20, 2017. She was born September 26, 1920 in Jasper, IN to John R. and Caroline (Schmidt) Mehringer. She was an amazing mother, expert seamstress and avid gardener. Florence was a member of Holy Trinity Church. Florence was a devoted mother of daughters, Sylvia (Robert) Steltenpohl of Cincinnati, Patricia Bonanno of Dayton; son, Thomas P. Sweeney of Middletown; grandchildren, Lisa (Chris) Hack, Rob (Carla) Steltenpohl, Michael (Kari) Steltenpohl, Kevin (Joannie) Bonanno, Matthew (Kristen) Bonanno, Kerry (David) Rinderle, Nikky Sweeney and Shellby (Chris) Bresson; great-grandchildren, Makanna, Kylie and Mia Hack, Lauren, Luke and Lindsey Steletenpohl, Sam, Ryan and Mia Bonanno, Eva and Sienna Bonanno. She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved wife of late Clifford F. Sweeney; 4 sisters; 6 brothers. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 11:00-12:00 pm at Holy Trinity Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 pm with Father John Civille officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.bakerstevensparramore.com.
