Levaughn Jones

Jones, Levaughn D. “Dude”, age 85, of Middletown, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Springhills of Middletown. He was born August 8, 1932 in Powell County, KY to Lloyd and Bertha (Hatton) Jones. He served our country during the Korean War in the US Army with a honorable discharge. He was a ladle crane operator for Armco Steel for 42 years, retiring in 1992. Levaughn is survived by his son, Dale A. (Donna) Jones; daughter, Melissa Carol (David) Hensel; Grandchildren, Jason Allan Jones, Stephen Lloyd (Angela) Jones, companion, Norma “Bunny” Simmons. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carol L. Jones; sister, Lois Patton; brothers, Charles E., Leeman Ray and Kendall B. Jones. A Graveside Service will be held Friday, January 19, 2018 at 12:00 pm at Woodside Cemetery with Rev. Mike Holland officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with military honors.
