Marian M Smith

Smith, Marion Mallory, age 95, of Franklin, OH passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Kingston of Miamisburg. She was born in Franklin, Ohio December 13, 1921 to parents Carl and Hester Cox Mallory. She was a lifetime resident of Franklin. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband William (Bill) Smith whom she was married to for 60 years and who was a well-known realtor in the Franklin area, their beloved son Scott Smith, brother Carl Mallory Jr. and dearest aunt Anna. She is survived by her sons, Michael W. Smith and wife Lillian of Franklin, Fred Smith and wife Jeannie of Dayton and David Smith and wife Karen of Franklin; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and great-granddaughter and Regan Smith. Marian was a graduate of Franklin High School, class of 1939. She was faithful and active member of Franklin United Methodist Church. She was a member of the church’s Kitchen Ladies, served on many committees over the years. Active along with her husband in Warren County Republican party and served as President and founder of Franklin Republican Women’s Club and a member of Sliteh and Chatter Club. She will be remembered as a F.H.S. first Homecoming Queen in 1938. Arrangements are by Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held Monday, October 30, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Woodhill Cemetery with Pastor Laura Saunders officiating.
