R. Cathy Ballard

Ballard, R. Cathy, age 84, of Middletown, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017 at Hospice of Butler and Warren County. She was born September 7, 1932 in Muncie, IN to Walter and Helen (Chandler) York. She was on the cafeteria staff for Madison High School for 15 years. Cathy was a member of Towne Blvd. Church of God for over fifty years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, church and lunch with friends. Cathy is survived by her children, Brenda (Paul) Powell of Mason, Becky Herr (special friend, Rick Riddell) of Middletown, Gary (Chris) Ballard of Miamisburg, Lori (Bob) Mynheir of Norris, TN, R. Jay Ballard of Powell, TN; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters, Donna Stanley, Barbara York both of IN and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Buhel Ballard; 7 brothers; 2 sisters. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 10:30-12:00 pm at Towne Blvd. Church of God. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 12:00 pm at the church with Dr. Mark R. Jackson officiating. Interment will be at Fairmound Cemetery.
