Ruth Ann Downs

Downs, Ruth Ann, age 90, of Middletown, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at her residence. She was born March 19, 1926 in Middletown, OH to Butler and Bessie (Hackney) Rothwell. She was an insurance agent for Moon and Adrian. Ruth Ann is a member of Stratford Heights Church. She liked to do gardening. Ruth Ann is survived by her husband of 70 years, Ray Downs; son, Stephen (Caroline) Downs; grandchildren, Shannon (Chad) Lasky, Amber (Chris) Morris; great-grandchildren, Sydney Lasky, Caden Lasky, Chase Morris, Karsyn Morris; sisters, Bonnie Bolinger, Beverly Winslow; brother, David Rothwell. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lizzy Brewer, Juanita Shepherd; daughter, Wanda Downs. Visitation will be held Monday, February 20, 2017 from 12:00-2:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Ray Phillips officiating. Entombment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
