Shirley A. Wills

Wills, Shirley A., age 84, of Gratis, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 at her residence. She was born April 6, 1933 in Middletown, OH to Ulys and Martha (Stepp) Springfield. She was a data transcriber for IRS for 14 years, retiring in 1995. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother that loved to bowl and travel with her husband. Shirley was a member of Crosspointe Church of Christ. Shirley is survived by her children, Melodie (Don) Curtis of Gratis, Elizabeth (Lester) King of Carlisle, Timothy (Bo) Hartman of Gratis; step-children, Joseph (Linda) Wills of Middletown, Donna (Tim) Leichty of Charlotte, NC, Daniel Wills of Orlando, FL, Beth (Brian) Modlin of Beavercreek; 19 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Tucker of Middletown; sister-in-law, Betty Shyers and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Hospice of Heartland, especially Kim and Nancy. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Lester Wills; brothers, Ulys Jr., Charles and Jerry Springfield, Ed and Paul Shyers; sisters, Mary Reardon, Katherine Peters; grandchildren, Leslie King, Mary Kathleen Gantt, Thomas Hartman. Visitation will be held Friday, January 19, 2018 from 11:00-1:00 pm at Crosspointe Church of Christ, 5630 State Route 122, Middletown, OH 45044. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1:00 pm at the church with Minister Scott Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
