Denniston, Vennie Marie age 81, of Trenton, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. She was born May 25, 1936 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to Kearnie and Flora (Phipps) Montgomery. Her first job was delivering U.S. Mail by horseback, she also worked as a quality inspector at Owens-Illinois, and later retired from Careview/ Fidelity as a Certified Home Health Aide. She was a dedicated member of the Baptist Tabernacle. Vennie is survived by her children, Brenda (David) Hicks, Jeffrey Denniston, and Allen (Ann) Denniston; grandchildren, Lauren (Russell) Denniston-Schomaker, Natalie Denniston, Jennifer Hicks, Carissa Denniston, and Chad Denniston; great-grandchildren, Chelsea Lagedrost and Landon Hicks; sisters, Barbara Brannan and Vernie Sheets; brother, Manford Montgomery; very devoted friend Larry Richie. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Denniston; sister, Wanda Cook; brothers, Edward and Sanford Montgomery. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 15th from 10:00 am- 1:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 1500 Manchester Avenue, Middletown, OH 45042. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Jimmy Anderson officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Middletown Area Senior Center, 3907 Central Ave. Middletown, OH 45044 or a charity of choice in memory of Vennie.
