Arnold "Tank Man" Meade

Arnold “Tank Man” Meade, age 76 of Middletown, passed away on January 7, 2021. He was born to the late Roy and Elma Meade on March 31, 1944 in Middletown, Ohio. Tank Man was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He proudly served in the United States Army and later retired from AK Steel. Tank Man was also a member of the VFW. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Connie Meade; daughter Mandy (Mike) Smith, Marcy (Mason) Byrd; grandchildren Lacey Haines (Jon Byrd), Jimmy Byrd, Lane Byrd, Jordan Smith, Oliver Byrd; great grandchildren Bentley Byrd, Diesel Byrd, Easton Byrd and sisters Beverly and Peggy. Tank Man was also survived by his brother-in-law Bill Burus and close family friends Barb and Dan V. Spinelli. Tank Man was preceded in death by his parents; son Scott Meade; grandson Mason Lee Byrd Jr.; great grandson Ryder Byrd and siblings Donna, Roy Jr., and Allen. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 12:00pm-1:00pm with a funeral service to follow at 1:00pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 1500 Manchester Ave Middletown, Ohio.
