Barbara Kash

Kash, Barbara Jean (Fouts), age 78, of Middletown, Ohio passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at Hospice of Butler and Warren County. She was born on February 15, 1943 in Middletown, Ohio to Roy and Margaret Fouts.

Barbara worked many years for Willow Knoll and Warren County Jail as a Manager for their kitchens. Before that, however, she stayed home for numerous years and did childcare out of her home. Barb loved getting to know the many children that she sat for over the years.

She enjoyed shopping at Kohl’s on a regular basis with her daughter, Tina. Barb enjoyed spending an abundance of time with her loving dog, Meg. Unfortunately, when Barb became ill, she could no longer take care of her. Our family is so grateful for Kathy Keevers who welcomed Meg into her home and has loved and cared for her as her own. Kathy has given Barb complete peace knowing that “her” Meg is in good hands.

Barb also enjoyed going to the Harvest Ranch Cowboy Church every Tuesday. She loved to listen to them sing and her favorite song was “YOU GOTTA COWBOY UP”...This brought her great happiness. Her great, great grandson, Bennett, was also another joy that made her smile each and every day. She cherished every moment that she got to spend with Bennett.

Barbara would like to let you know that her work here is done.  She received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus...a reunion with her family, especially her daughter, Christie, in which she has not seen in a very long time. 

Barbara is survived by; daughter, Tina (Russ) Kash-Lawson of Middletown; son, Rob (Marnie) Kash of Franklin; sister, Joyce (Nancy) Fouts; grandchildren, Michelle Yarber, Jennifer (Tony) Riley, Amanda (Ricky) Lyons, Christina Yarber, Samantha Yarber, Cory Klapper, Shelbi Hamilton, Brandon Hamilton, Makenna Kash; many great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Arthur (Gail) Kash of Franklin. Several special friends to the family, Marty Ellis, Cynda Kash, Mary Powers, Connie Wilch.

She is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Margaret Fouts; Husband, Robert Shelby Kash; and daughter, Christie Kash Hamilton.
