Barbara Ligett

Barbara Ann Ligett, age 93, of Monroe passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022. She was born June 16, 1928 in Middletown, Ohio, to Dr. Waldo and Mabel (Berkley) Ligett. She was an Advertisement Budget Controller at Armco retiring after 34 years of dedicated work. Barb was a devoted member of St. Paul United Church of Christ. In her younger years, she learned to drive a car at the age of 12. By the age of 19, Barb received her pilot’s license and enjoyed flying airplanes. In her free time she loved to read, play cards, swim, and golf. In the winter and in true snowbird fashion, she could be found on the beach soaking up the sun in Florida. Barb is survived by her nephews, Gary (Gwen) Ligett, Brother Mark “Terry” Ligett, Robert (Shari) Ligett, John (Carol) Ligett, Michael Ligett and his wife Cathy Ward, Steve Ligett and his wife Doris LaMontagne, Dan Ligett and his wife Susan Stefanec; niece, Tracy (Tim) Cole; special friends, Mary and David Lansaw, and numerous family members and friends. She is preceded by her parents, Waldo and Mabel Ligett; brothers, W.B. Ligett Jr. and Dr. Robert E. Ligett; sisters-in-law, Ann Ligett and Babs Ligett; special friend, Margie L. Lansaw.
