Barbara Ann Walker

Barbara Ann Walker, age 83, passed away peacefully in the arms of her daughter, Cathy Shelley and grandson, Joseph Michaud on Wednesday June 15, 2022. She was born in Middletown, Ohio on March 21, 1939. She married her high school sweetheart, John Walker on February 14, 1961. Barbara enjoyed her family and friends and loved to make them laugh. She was an active member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit #218. In her spare time loved to shop with her daughter at the local malls and thrift stores. She also enjoyed coloring to pass the time. Barbara retired from Meijer in Middletown, as a store greeter after over 20 years of service. She sold many winning lottery tickets and was loved by all of her many customers. Barbara is survived by her husband of 61 years; John M Walker, daughter; Cathy (Howard) Shelley of Huxley, IA, son; John W. (Florence) Walker of Middletown , Ohio, grandchildren; James, Joseph, James, Christian, Cassie, Brooke, and 2 great-grandchildren, her sisters; Phyllis Smith of Monroe, Ohio and Marcia (Ted) Haas of Kettering, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl H. Smith and Oudra Smith, her son; Karl (Doug) Walker and brothers; David, Bill, Marvin and Jimmy Smith. Barbara is in the care of Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home. Services are pending at this time.
