Bette Lou Whittlesey

Whittlesey, Bette Lou, age 79, of Monroe, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 at her residence. She was born March 1, 1939 in Barwick, KY to Hobart and Arbus (Gomia) Smith. She was a registered nurse graduating from the school of nursing at the Jewish Hospital. She worked in various hospital settings, private urology practice and was the Director of Nursing for Willow Knoll Nursing Home, retiring in 1994. Bette is survived by her husband of 58 years, John Whittlesey; children, Stephanie (Paul) Mackey and John E. Whittlesey Jr.; grandsons, Michael Bush, Corey Bush; granddaughter, Taylor Mackey. Visitation will be held Friday, December 28, 2018 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Avenue, Middletown, OH 45005.
