Obituary

Bobby Ray Chandler, loving husband, father, step-father and papaw passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at the age of 80. Bob was born on March 29, 1942 in Laurel County, Kentucky. He was a U.S. Navy veteran leaving the service in 1967 with an honorable discharge. Bobby worked at BAE Systems when he retired, before that, he had been employed at Hamilton Sheet Metal. He bowled in several bowling leagues over the years and he loved to golf and fish. He loved being a papaw. Bobby’s wife; Mary (Rickard) Chandler, was the light of his life! He was the most kind-hearted man you would have the pleasure of meeting, never a bad word about anyone. He loved his precious dog, Abby! Bobby was preceded in death by his son, Danny Chandler and his step-son, Daniel Scott Blevins, his first wife, Norma Jean Chandler and his brothers, Denzel and Kenneth Chandler. He is survived by his wife, Mary, son, Joey Chandler, his step-sons, Robert Blevins, Mark Blevins, Matthew Blevins, Dennis Blevins, James Blevins, and his several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home 1500 Manchester Avenue, Middletown on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at 10:00 a.m. Pastor James Long will be officiating and interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park. The family would like to give Mark Blevins a special thank you for taking such great care of Bobby so well for three years.
