Candy Renee Collins

Candy Renee Walters Collins, age 54 of Middletown, Ohio passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 at Atrium Medical Center. Her underlying health conditions could not withstand Covid. She was born to Tommie Walters, Sr. and Carol Sue Ferguson Walters on January 2, 1967. Candy was a life-long resident of Middletown. She graduated from Middletown High School in 1985. She was on the track team competing in shotput and discus, the basketball team, and was member of the Mighty Middie Band. Candy was the life of the party. She was outgoing, kind, caring, and fun to be around. She never met a stranger, never judged, and made a friend everywhere she went. Her heart was huge. She loved helping others. Making people smile was one of her favorite things to do. She would have conversations with anyone who would listen. Like her father, she gave everyone nicknames whether they wanted them or not. Candy regretfully leaves behind her mother, her rock, her #1 fan, the woman who was everything to her; Carol Walters, her older brother the man she loved to torment the most; Tommie Walters, Jr. and wife; Rita, her sister-in-law; Stephanie Walters, nieces; Emily Walters and Patricia Bailey, her nephew; Micah (Hugger McGee) Kremer, great-nieces and nephews; very special cousins; Austin and Adam Hamilton, aunts; uncles; cousins; and her life-long best friend, her partner in crime; Renay Duhamel and her children that Candy help raise; Chel, Danny, Timmy and Justice Duhamel. She was preceded in death by her father; Tommie, little sister; Christina Bailey, brother; John Walters; and grandparents; Boone & Hazel (Risner) Walters, John D. & Edith (Manning) Ferguson. A Celebration of Life will take place at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral home to help with expenses.
