Chester R. Miller

Miller, Chester R., age 87, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Franklin Ridge Nursing Home. He was born October 16, 1930 in Breathitt, Kentucky to Abner and Effie (Haddix) Miller. He served our country overseas in the US Army during the Korean War in the Transportation Division as a Jeep Driver with an honorable discharge. He worked at Armco Steel for 38 years, was a Transporter for the Preble County District Library, and was a Volunteer Firefighter for Wayne Township Fire Department. Chester is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rebecca Ann Miller; children, Randall (Kimberly) Miller, Roger Miller, Kim (Ron) Keith; grandchildren, David Miller, Daniel (Grace) Miller, Emilee Keith, Elaynee (Eric) Arnold; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Douglas (Alice) Miller; sister, Margaret (Lewis) Jones. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Doris Miller, Jeanette Slone, Dorothy McHugh and Marilyn Wills. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 12:00-2:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 1500 Manchester Ave. Middletown, OH 45042. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 pm at the Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Carr officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
