Della Turner Newkirk

Della Turner Newkirk, age 94, of Middletown passed away June 3, 2021.  She was born to the late Amerida and Mary Morris on March 31, 1927 in Morris Fork, Kentucky.  She was raised in Morris Fork, Kentucky where she attended the local school and Morris Fork Presbyterian Church. After her and Wilson married they made their home in Middletown, OH where they raised their sons. After Wilson passed, Della became a Nurse Aide and worked at Middletown Hospital for over 16 years. Della enjoyed  quilting, crocheting, working in her flower beds and cooking.   Della is survived by her children, Chauncey (Billie) Turner and Ron (Mary) Turner; grandchildren Elisabeth Runnells, Shawn (Holli) Turner, Susan (Paul) Lezotte, Sheree (Bryce) Henson; Seth Turner; 19 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.  She was also survived by her sister Doris (Arthur Jr) Johnson; step-son Bob (Carol) Newkirk and step-son-in-law, Jim Williams, their children and grandchildren; along with numerous other nieces and nephews.  Della was preceded in death by her first husband, Wilson Turner; husband Roscoe Newkirk; parents; sisters Dorothy Morris and Faye Morris and step-daughter Betty Williams.  Private funeral services are in the care of Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home in Middletown, Ohio.  Burial took place at Woodside Cemetery.
