Dennis A. Combs

Dennis A. Combs, 74 of Middletown passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at his residence. He was born on March 11, 1946 in Hazard, KY to Hurkus & Ruth (Oaks) Combs. Dennis served our country in the US Army and retired from General Motors. He was an avid hunter. Dennis is survived by his wife of 54 years, Evelyn; his daughter, Lana Read of Cincinnati; his son, Dennis Lance Combs of Middletown; his beloved grandchildren, Hope Combs and Jet-Riley Read; brother, Hurkus (Freeda) Combs and sisters, Wanda Bobbitt, Wilma Griever and Phyllis (Ben) Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold (Maxine) Combs, sister, Betty (Junior) Overbee and brother-in-laws, Max Bobbitt and Buddy Griever. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 12:30 -2:00 pm at the Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Ave. in Middletown with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2:00 pm with Dr. Dan Flory officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Woodside Cemetery.
