Donald Ray Mays

Mays, Donald Ray, age 75, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Bethesda North Hospital. He was born May 18, 1942 in Middletown, OH to James and Reba (Egelston) Mays. He served our country during the Vietnam War Era in the Air Force and retired after 31 years of combined active duty and reserve service. He was a flight engineer, aircraft mechanic, and also worked at General Electric. Donald is survived by his wife of 28 years, Marie (Kerby) Mays; children, Donald R. (Amy) Mays II of Virginia Beach, VA, Timothy J. (Rita) Mays of Beavercreek, OH, Shelli (Jim) Cramer of Franklin Twshp, and Lori Birman of Franklin; step-children, David (Patricia) Farris of Blanchester, OH and Betty Jo (Eddie) Tucker of Wynne, AR; grandchildren 16; great-grandchildren 9; sisters, Leatrice Hayes and Cheryl Mays Corder. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Donna Gay Mays; sisters, Betty Wolf, Beatrice Crawford, Brenda Greene, and Theresa Chaney; brothers, James Mays and Ronald Mays. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 11:00-1:00 pm at Grace Baptist Church, 3023 Union Rd. Franklin, OH 45005. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1:00 pm at the Church with Dr. Max Fernandez. Interment will be at Grace Memorial Gardens.
