Stamper, Donald Ray, age 79, of Middletown, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born December 13, 1938 in Middletown, OH to Earl and Eunice (Hall) Stamper. He served our country in the US Navy with an honorable discharge. He was a letter carrier for the US Post Office for 34 years, retiring in 1996. Donald was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Don loved all of his grandchildren very much. He was a former Knothole Baseball Coach in Madison: an avid Bluegrass music fan and an Ambassador for Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home for a total of 9 years. Don is survived by his sons, Eric Scott Stamper, David Todd Stamper, Jeffrey Michael Stamper, Robert Joseph Stamper; grandchildren, Todd, Leslie, Taylor, Kyra, Nathan, Alyssa, Jesse Stamper; 4 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sharon Jean Stamper; brothers, Cecil, Robert and Charles Stamper; sister, Mary Lawson North. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 7, 2018 from 9:00-11:00 am at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Avenue, Middletown, OH 45005. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. John Wagner officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with Military Services by Franklin VFW Honor Guard.
