Chaney, Mark, age 63, of Monroe, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Atrium Medical Center. He was born September 14, 1954 in West Liberty, KY to Orville and Alleta (Stamper) Chaney. He retired from Aeronca after 25 years of service. Mark was an organ donor who donated his corneas and now two people have sight. He graduated from Hazel Green Academy in 1972. He was a board member and coach for Monroe Sports Association. He enjoyed UK basketball, Cincinnati Reds, and Golf. He was a history buff of American Wars and an Airplane historian. He had a green thumb and loved to island hop. In Mark’s church life, he has been a Treasurer, Deacon, board member, VBS Game Master and was active with youth ministry. Mark is survived by his wife of 38 years, Bekki (Davidson) Chaney; children, Patrick Chaney, Allie Chaney; mother, Alleta Chaney; sisters, Carol (Bob) Pieratt, Mickie (Dan) Clater; brother, Larry (Glenda) Chaney and numerous nieces, nephews and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his father. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 11:00-1:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 1500 Manchester Avenue, Middletown, OH 45042. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Chad Slifer officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
