On the day of September 13th of the year of our Lord 2020. The Lord called home one of his Soldiers, Saints, and Earthly Angels, Emma L. Hodges. Emma L. Hodges was born October 28, 1943 in Camden, Arkansas. Emma attended and graduated from Lincoln High School of Camden, Arkansas in 1963. Emma completed and received her Secretary Certification from Bakersfield Community College in Business System Technology (10 Key Pad) in 1991. Emma spent 20 years after high school graduation as a hardworking, traveling, and dedicated military wife and mother. Emma enjoyed spending time fishing, bowling, and going on long rides to multiple museums. As well as an occasional casino trip. Emma is proceeded in death by her Grandparents, Georgia Ann and Freeman Strickland; 4 Uncles, Willie D. Strickland, Jim Strickland, John B. Strickland, and PW Strickland, and her Aunt Onie Mae Porchia; Also her brother Charles Hughes and nephew Carl Hughes. She is also proceeded by and welcomed Home by her Loving Parents O.V. Hughes and Eula Mae Strickland/Ross. Emma is survived by Willie Hodges, Her Aunts Nadel Turner and Princess Strickland/ Lindsay (both of Texas). Her Sister Maxine (Roy) Gathwright (California). A Beautiful daughter Felicia Hodges/ Walker of Middletown Ohio; Son LaMar Hodges (Jennifer Reynolds/ Hodges) Fairfield, OH., 6 Grandsons Brendan Hodges (Tima) of Colerain, OH, LaMar Hodges Jr. Middletown, Christian Hodges (Mariah Nicole) Fairfield, OH; Darrell Hunter Jr. (Arizona) Kellie, Hunter and Deandrae Dawson of Fairfield, OH; Granddaughter Alexis Conley of Middletown, OH. 9 Great-Grandkids, a Host of Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, Friends, Extended and Adoptive Family Abroad. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Ave. Middletown, OH 45005 with Reverend Dennis G. Kidd officiating.
