Gary W. Wilkinson

Gary Wayne Wilkinson, age 65, of Middletown, Ohio passed away Friday afternoon, April 8, 2022.  He was born March 21, 1957 in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Roger and Naomi Ruth (Blevins) Wilkinson.  Gary’s work-life consisted of AK Steel and Lebanon Correctional Institution.  He retired from AK Steel after 30 years of service as a pipefitter and working in the mobile maintenance department; and later from Lebanon Correctional Institution as a correctional officer for 10 years.  Later in life, Gary developed a passion for shooting pool.  He won numerous trophies and badges while playing in the APA.  He also was an avid sports fan and loved talking sports with his three sons.  Gary is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Kimberly (Gilbert) Wilkinson; three sons: Kyle (Cerah Churchwright) Wilkinson, Kody Wilkinson, Jesse Wilkinson; three grandchildren: Kaiden Wilkinson, Rowen Wilkinson, Thorfin Churchwright and sister, Cynthia (Bill) Faulkner.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Scott Wilkinson. Family and friends are welcome on Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Ave, Middletown, Ohio where the funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00pm.  Burial will take place at Woodside Cemetery.  Sympathy may be expressed by leaving an online condolence on Gary’s obituary at bakerstevensparramore.com or by leaving a comment on his obituary post on the funeral home’s Facebook page, Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home.
