Goebel Oliver Jr

Oliver, Goebel Henry Jr., age 85, of Middletown, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Atrium Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born August 17, 1933 in West Liberty, KY to Goebel Henry and Emma (Mason) Oliver. He served our country during the Korean War in the US Navy with an honorable discharge. He retired from Armco Steel with 37 years. Goebel married Elizabeth (Betsy) Young on October 22, 1951. They were married 49 years and had 5 children. He loved spending time with his family, fishing, the outdoors and the Racino. He was a resident of Springhills Assisted Living and he had many friends there. Goebel is survived by his daughter, Kristie (Dick) Oliver Gault of Trenton, Kathy (Denny) Oliver Dobson of Foley, AL.; sons, Michael (Laura) Oliver of Seven Mile, Thomas (Gloria) Oliver of Jacksonburg, daughter-in-law, Linda Oliver Steele; grandchildren, Mike (Trish) Hamilton, Amanda (Nick) Ducker, Christopher (Kelly) Oliver, Joseph (Rachel) Watts, Ryan (Rachel) Oliver, Amy (Ryan) Oliver, Sarah (Josh) Colon, Jessie (Corey) Haddix, Noah Oliver; great-grandchildren, Julius, Livvie, Nealy Ducker, Reese, Finley, Rowan Oliver, Reed, Rhett Oliver, Paxton, Paisley, Palmer Colon; step-grandchildren, April, Kristy, Angie, Christina, Alex, Michael; step-great-grandchildren, Dylan, Grace, Gretchen, Shelby, Drew, Jaxon, Christopher, Tyler, Emma, Madilyn, Paisley; sister, Barbara Oliver Tussey; sister-in-laws, Neva Oliver, Carol Oliver, Carolyn Young and many nieces and nephews, special friend, Rusty. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betsy, son, Steven Oliver; brothers, Gene and Jim; sisters, Carrie, Mary and Pauline; parents, Goebel and Emma Oliver. Visitation will be held Friday, April 19, 2019 from 10:00-12:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Avenue, Middletown, OH 45005.
