Obituary

Stamper, Harold Gene, age 89, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019 at his home in Franklin, Ohio. He was born December 18, 1929 in Middletown, Ohio to James and Elsie (Bair) Stamper. He served our country during the Korean War in the US Army with an honorable discharge. He was a Tank Sargent in the Korean War with the 122nd Armored Ordnance Maintenance Battalion. He worked at Armco Steel for 30 years in the Power Department, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Armco Car Enthusiasts Club and participated in fundraising events while celebrating his love of antique cars. Harold is survived by his wife of 67 years, Pauline (Taylor) Stamper; daughters, Pamela (Philip) Roll of Franklin, Vickie (Lionel) Fugate of West Middletown; grandchildren, Traci (Nicholas) Heekin, of Kentucky, Bradley Cook of Franklin, Ohio; great-grandchild, Rhett Heekin; sister, Junis (Bud) Stephens of Middletown. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Brian Cook; brother, Gerald Stamper; sister, Ruth Mathis. A Private Graveside Service will be held Monday at Woodside Cemetery. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
