Hazel Combs

Combs, Hazel M., age 95, of Middletown, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019. She was born April 28, 1923 in Jeffersonville, KY to Herman and Myrtle (Curey) Huff. She wed Arnold Combs on November 22, 1947. He preceded her in death in 2005. Hazel served in the U.S. Army as a Medical Technician at WM Beaumont General Hospital in El Paso Texas. She was employed at General Motors Inland Division in Dayton Ohio. Later she became a cosmetologist; working in Middletown for over 20 years. She enjoyed camping, quilting and ceramics. Upon her retirement, she took art lessons where she discovered a talent for painting with oils. She continued to paint for the next 48 years. Hazel is survived by her daughters; Pam (Mike) Bogan and Debbie (John) Spence; grandchildren, Michael (Terri) Bogan and Stefanie (Brian) Todd; great-grandchildren, Baleigh Bogan and Brady Bogan; sister, Sharon Brown. She is preceded in death by her parents, and seven siblings,Gladys Baker, Leonard Huff, Orville Huff, H.V. Huff Jr., Irene May, Shirley Clay Huff, and Betty Jo Davis. Visitation will be held, Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 11:00 AM- 12:00 PM at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Ave. Middletown, OH 45005. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at the Funeral Home at 12:00 PM with Pastor Mark Jackson officiating.
