Herbert Wayne Schaffner

Herbert “Herb” Wayne Schaffner, 75, passed away Friday, November 3rd, 2023. Herb was born on October 5th, 1948, in Troy, Ohio to Howard and Helen (Elsau) Schaffner. Herb proudly served his country, doing a tour in Vietnam. He received the Bronze star during his time of service. He loved to go fishing and watching the Indy 500. Herb also enjoyed listening to Country and Classic Rock. He cherished spending quality time with his beloved family. Herb is survived by his son Gannon, daughter-in-law Erin, grandson Gannon Dean Schaffner, daughter Lindsay Myers, sisters, Marcia Cline, Donna Schaffner, Sheryl Bremen, ex-wife and friend, Janet Banks. He is preceeded in death by his father, brothers, David Schaffner, Paul Schaffner, and his best friend, Kenny Filoso. The family would love to give a special thanks to the staff at Hospice of Hamilton, as they treated them as well as Herb, with such kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers make donations to the Hospice of Cincinnati, in Hamilton, Ohio. Services will be held at the Family’s discretion.
