James Blair Jones

Jones, James Blair I, age 82, of Middletown, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at University of Cincinnati Hospital. He was born December 14, 1935 in Belington, West Virginia to Millard and Mary (Moore) Jones. He served our country in the US Air Force from 1954 to 1957 with an honorable discharge. He was a bus driver for the Metro Regional Transit Authority. Jim was a member of Church of God in Akron, Ohio and the American Legion and served with the honor guard. Jim is survived by his children, James (Tracy) Jones II of Franklin, Jeremy (Denise Smith) Jones of CA, Lisa (Judith Roska) Jones of Colorado; sister, Barbara Jones of Stow, OH; grandchildren, James (Elizabeth) Jones III of South Dakota, Robert Ethan (Rebekah) Jones of Alliance, OH, Caitlynn (TJ) Nagle of West Carrolton, 9 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia Jones in 2017; daughter, Becky Jones. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 3:00-5:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Avenue, Middletown, OH 45005. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 5:00 pm at the funeral home. Military services will follow at the funeral home with Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
