James Chaney

James Chaney, age 81, of Middletown, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Atrium Medical Center. He was born August 14, 1940 in Hazard, Kentucky to Rollie and Mary (Fugate) Chaney. James was strong in his faith, loved reading his bible daily, and attending church at Poasttown First Church of God. He loved his family and watching UK basketball. James is survived by his wife of 27 years, Linda (Thompson) Chaney; children, Kimberly Lynn (Andre) Chartrand, Thomas Daniel (Cindy) Mockabee, Michael David (Kimberly) Mockabee, Carl Brian (Lisa) Mockabee, Sonya Swartz; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and sister, Wanda Mosley. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Wayne Chaney; brother, Paul Chaney, and sister, Bonnie Muncy. James is in the care of Baker-Stevens-Parremore Funeral Home. A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 9:00am- 10:30 am at Poasttown First Church of God, 6376 Germantown Rd. Middletown, Ohio 45042. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at the church at 10:30 am with Pastor Kevin Back officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
