James F. Sharrett

Sharrett, James 91, of Middletown passed away on Friday, February 16th at Atrium Medical Center. He was born on December 12, 1926 in Jeffersonville, Oh to Charles Raymond & Dora (Thomas) Sharrett. James served our country by serving in the US Navy in the Pacific during WW II and worked for 40 years and retired from AK Steel. He was a member of the Navy Amateur Radio Club, a lifetime Member of the American Legion Post # 218 and was a Ham Radio Operator. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joan Sharrett; his son, Jeff Sharrett; his daughters, Peggy (Otha) Samuels and Freda (Sam) Anderson; his adopted son, Donald Sharrett; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and his brother, Delbert Eugene Sharrett. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Esther & Ruth. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 21st from Noon – 1:00 pm at the Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 1500 Manchester Avenue with Graveside Services at 1:30 pm at Butler County Memorial Park.
