John Michael Farkas
January 5, 1945 ~ February 9, 2018 (age 73) 73 Years OldFarkas, John Michael 73, died at his home in Sanford, North Carolina on February 9, 2018 after long battle with cancer. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on January 5th, 1945 to the late John Daniel Farkas and Mary Ann (Kaufman) Farkas. John is survived by Pam Farkas, his devoted wife of 30 years, son Jeffrey (Tara) Farkas; daughter Amy Seiber and step-son Christopher (Deana) Manning. He was the proud grandfather of seven grandchildren: Justin, Lilly, Landen, Lola, Hadley, Harper and Hudson. John was extremely proud of his Hungarian heritage and loved to hunt ducks, fish and golf. John retired from ARMCO Steel and moved from Trenton, Ohio to Sanford, North Carolina for the warmer weather and to be closer to his children. John remained a lifetime fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and the Ohio State Buckeyes. John was a Vietnam War Veteran, where he served in the United States Air Force as an avionics technician. John was preceded in death by his brother, David “Tim” Farkas and is survived by Tim’s wife, Beth; his brothers, Richard and his wife, Margie, Steve, Charles and sister, Mary Beth and her husband, Ken Johnson. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 17th from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm with fellowship and sharing of our stories and love at 1:00 pm with a reception immediately after at the Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Avenue, Middletown, 45005.
