Lawrence Collopy

Lawrence Alan Collopy, age 66 of Franklin, Ohio passed away on April 3, 2022 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. Larry was born on December 16, 1955 in Hamilton, Ohio. He was a dedicated employee to International Paper for 43 years before retiring in 2018. His favorite past time was being by the pool, in the hot tub, or spending quality time with his family. He found joy in playing with his loving dogs Abbigale and Buffy Sue. Larry is preceded in death by his father, Donald E. Collopy; mother, Wilma Collopy (Whitaker); father-in-law, James V. Salley; brother, Donald E. Collopy II; stepson, Keith James South; and puppies, Abbigale and Buffy Sue. He is survived by his loving wife, Mae Collopy (Salley) of 27 years; mother-in-law, Grace K. Salley; stepson, Kevin Lee South; sister, Janice (Steve) Howard; many nieces, nephews, brother and sister-in-laws. A visitation for Larry will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Baker Stevens Parramore Funeral Home 6850 Roosevelt Ave Middletown 45005 with a service to follow at 1:00 pm. Service will be officiated by Pastor Ethan Daves. Entombment will take place at Butler County Memorial Park.
