Leon Edward Geisler, 76 of Middletown passed away at his residence on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. He was born on December 2, 1945 in Middletown to Stanley Emmerson and Lucille Margaret (Holiday) Geisler. Lee retired as a mechanic/millwright from G.E. He was a former Flight Mechanic for the U.S. Air Force, where he served our country from 1965-1970. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 218, the Elk’s Lodge # 6475 and a past member of the Moose Lodge # 501. He enjoyed spending time with his family, boating, camping & fishing and he enjoyed restoring old cars. Lee loved the time spent with his wife in their Florida home. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janet B. (Butcher) Geisler; his children, Rick Helm, Kim (Mike) McCabe, Karen (Freddie) Sowards and Gary (Amy) Helm; his 7 grandchildren, Brandon (Trista) Crane, Luke (Kristy) McCabe, Jade (Chad) Rigsby, Zachary (Amy) Sowards, Cate Helm, Cori Helm and Jack Helm; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Charles and Jimmy Geisler and several nieces and nephews. Lee was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gene & Richard Geisler; nephew, Scott Geisler and sister, Janet Margaret Geisler. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 10:00 am – 12:00 p.m. at the Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home 6850 Roosevelt Avenue, Middletown 45005 with Funeral Services to follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Lamar Ferrell officiating.
