Leonard Taylor

Taylor, Leonard Louis, age 85, of Middletown, passed away Friday, August 16, 2019. He was born February 24, 1934 in Wolfe County, KY to Jeff and Myrtle (Lutes) Taylor. He was a loving, husband, dad, papaw, brother and uncle. He served 7 years in Army in the Korean War. His rank was Corporal and was a small arms specialist. After the military, he worked and retired from the Local #534 union. He attended Poasttown First Church of God for many years. He was a kind and loving man, he was very loved and will be truly missed by all of us. Leonard is survived by his children, Paul (Shirley) Taylor, Tony (Rindi) Taylor, Jeff (Arlene) Taylor; sisters, Margie Miller, Grace Kidd, Rose Marie; grandchildren, Mike, April, Keeanna, Aaron, Kayla, Matthew, Jacob, Natasha and Gloria; 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews all who were very loved. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 53 years, Virginia Taylor; son, Danny Purdin; sisters, Lea O’Hair, Lula Purdin; brothers, Palace Taylor, Courtney Taylor; grandson, Justin Taylor. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 11:00 - 1:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 1500 Manchester Avenue, Middletown, OH 45042. A Celebration of Life service will follow 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Kenny Brewer officiating. Interment will be at Woodhill Cemetery.
