Margaret Ann Akers

Margaret Ann Akers passed away at Atrium Medical Center on December 28, 2021. She was born to Millard and Margaret (Leach) Highley in Middletown, Ohio on April 5, 1938 . Margaret loves her gardening; she has always been able to grow anything. She used to line her driveway with planter boxes full of flowers. She’s a big shopper as well. She loved to cook, too. It didn’t matter the occasion - even a birthday party for a baby would look like a fully catered wedding. She loved her family the most, though. No matter what it was, she wanted to be around them and doing things for them. She enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds play. They were her favorite team for the longest time. Margaret is survived by her son Steve (Mary) Akers; grandchildren Tyler Akers and Dani (Aaron) Pernell; siblings Dennis (Kristi) Highley, Carol (John) Cunningham-Cox, Debbie Highley, Brenda Chasteen and lots of nieces and nephews who all loved their Aunt Margaret a ton. She is proceeded in death by her husband Robert Akers; her parents; daughter Michele Dakin; and sisters Linda Highley, Phyllis Dalton, and Sally Hensley.  A visitation will take place at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 1500 MANCHESTER AVE, Middletown, Ohio 45042 on Monday, January 10, 2022 from 10:30am-11:00am with interment to follow at Woodside Cemetery in Middletown, Ohio under the care of Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home.
