Mary Frances Burns

Mary Frances (Wells) Burns, 81, of Springboro, Ohio, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022. Fran was an avid gardener who knew and loved plants and flowers of many varieties, but her favorite was purple irises. Fran also loved crocheting, drawing, painting, doing puzzles, bird watching, reading, and making things for people. During covid she handmade hundreds of beautiful cloth masks for anyone who needed them and scrub caps for healthcare workers. Her family and friends cherish all of the many crafts she made over the years. She loved her very dear friends at the American Legion Post #104 in Sevierville, TN where she and Terry spent many happy years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. 
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Terry; son, David; and brother, Will Wells.  She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Lenos (Doug); grandchildren Ben (Cassie), Allison, and Rebekah; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Eli, and Charlie; sister-in-law Nancy Wells; nieces Cindy Miller and Kelly Scott; nephews Sean Stover, John Burns, Chris Wells, and Dean Burns; many cousins; and a multitude of friends who loved her like family. 
Services will be held in the spring when the grass is green and the flowers are blooming. 
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Legion Post #104, PO Box 4242, Sevierville, TN 37864 or the American Lung Association. In the spring, please plant a flower in her honor.
