Merle E Stethem

Stethem. Merle E., age 83 of Middletown, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Spring Hills Assisted Living Facility. He was born March 16, 1934 in Middletown, OH, to Samuel and Anna (Borders) Stethem. He served his country as a Navy Seabee during the Korean War and was a police officer for the city of Middletown, retiring after 29 years of service with the rank of sergeant. He attended Breiel Blvd. Church of God. Merle is survived by his wife of 58 years Nadine (McKinney) Stethem; children, Merle (Christina) Stethem II of San Diego, CA, Fawn (Denny) Fox of Middletown, OH; grandchildren, Cassie (John) Lozoraitis, Cody (Charli) Fox, Mark and Samantha Stethem; a great-granddaughter Maddie Fox; a sister Beverly (Eugene) Tobin. He is preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be Friday, June 2, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Ave., Middletown, OH. Celebration of Life Services will follow at 1:00 pm, Friday, June 2, 2017 at Baker-Stevens-Parramore, 6850 Roosevelt Ave., Middletown, OH with Minister Ron Carter officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 644 Linn Street-Suite 1026, Cincinnati, OH 45203.
