Michael Ross Mehl

Mehl, Michael R., age 80, of Monroe, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born in Middletown, OH to Gus and Olive Mehl. He was a Production Planner for Armco Steel for 30 years, retiring in 1993. He was very devoted to his family and will be sadly missed by his Lapdog Abbie. Michael was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, was an avid golfer and served on the board of the Wildwood Golf Club. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Pat (Hackett) Mehl; daughters, Peggy (Rodger Masten) Hazelwood, Jo (Don) Cunningham, Sharon (Michael) Schiavone; grandsons, Michael (Stacey) Staton, Christopher (Andrea) Schiavone, Matthew (Ashley) Schiavone, Nicholas Cunningham, Lucas Cunningham; great-grandchildren, Raelynn, Addison, Keegan, Riley and Savannah; sisters, Jeannine Davidson, Sue Pendergraft. He was preceded in death by his parents. A visitation will be held Monday, March 25, 2019 from 1:00-2:00 pm at our Lady of Sorrows Church, 330 Lebanon Street, Monroe, OH 45050. A Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 pm followed by a luncheon at the church. A Celebration of Life will be held at Wildwood Golf Club from 4:00-7:00 pm.
