Michele L. Dakin

Dakin, Michele Lynn (Akers), age 47, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017 at Kindred Hospital Medical Center in Houston, Texas. She was born February 16, 1970 in Middletown, OH to Robert and Margaret (Highley) Akers. She was an LPN, working with special needs students through many school district in Southwest Ohio. Michele was a devoted wife and mother, who was an avid fan of the Reds and the Bengals. She also was a member of Middletown Moose Lodge. Michele is survived by her husband of 19 years, Tony Dakin of Houston, TX; daughter, Danielle (Aaron) Pernell of New Carlisle, OH; mother, Margaret Akers of Germantown, OH; brother, Steve (Mary) Akers of Carlisle, OH; nephew, Tyler Akers; aunts, Sally Hensley, Carol Cunningham Cox, husband, John and Debbie Highley all of Middletown, OH, Brenda Chasteen of San Antonio, TX and Maxine Harris of Monroe, OH; uncle, Dennis Highley and fiancé Kristi of Franklin, OH; mother-in-law, Carol Dakin of Middletown, OH; sister-in-law, Chrissy (Jason) Staggs of Carlisle, OH and numerous cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Bob Akers and maternal grandparents, Millard and Maggie Highley and paternal grandparents, Worth and Mattie Akers. A visitation will be on Sunday, October 8, 2017 pm Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home at 1500 Manchester Avenue from 5:00-8:00 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, October 9, 2017 at 10:00 am at the funeral home on Manchester Avenue with Pastor Chuck Wolfinbarger officiating.
