Milton Salyer, Jr.

Milton Salyer Jr. age 92 of Middletown, was called to his Heavenly Home Sunday, September 3, 2023 from Ohio’s Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. He was born May 26, 1931, in Ezel, Morgan County, KY to Milton and Lydia (Risner) Salyer Sr. He served our country during the Korean War in the US Airforce and US Army with an Honorable Discharge. Milton was a Railroad Conductor at Armco retiring after 37 years of dedicated work. He loved attending church at Towne Church. He and his beloved wife loved to travel, go fishing, and play golf together. More than anything, he loved gardening. Milton is survived by his beloved sons, Darrell “Ed” (Lisa) Salyer, Bob Salyer, David (Angela) Salyer; cherished daughter, Linda Sabo; 7 loving grandchildren, Colin Salyer, Hannah Cassidy, Ben (Kim) Salyer, Randall Salyer, Nikki May, Mandy (Andy) Minge, Matt Sabo; 5 loving great-grandchildren, Isabella and Isaiah Salyer, Austin, Haylee, and Ava Minge; beloved sister, Ruby Wells, and dear sister-in-law Ducey Jones and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his cherished wife of 67 years Polly Salyer; precious and cherished mother, Lydia (Risner) Salyer and father, Milton Salyer Sr.; cherished brother, Wayne, and brothers, Ben, Walt, and James; sisters, Della, Mandy, Beatrice, and Madeline; daughter-in-law, Nancy Salyer. A Visitation will be held Monday, September 11, 2023 from 12:00PM-1:00PM at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Ave. Middletown, OH 45005. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1:00PM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Jackson Officiating. Interment will be at Mound Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to Towne Church or Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton In Memory of Milton.
