Ova Elwood Reynolds, age 65, left this world Sunday, November 14, 2021. Ova was born January 31, 1956 to Ova and Dorothy Reynolds in Middletown, Ohio. Although those that knew him, called him Elwood, Paw, or Papaw. Elwood is survived by his wife; Tammy (Hayden) Reynolds, daughter; Sandi (Jerry) Hamm, step-son; Anthony “Tony” Moore, a nephew he raised; Steven (Melissa) Steinspring, brothers; George (Rose) Reynolds, Donnie Reynolds, Arlie Reynolds, sisters; Lillian “Red” Riley, Margie Steinspring, Brenda (Jamie) Watkins, Ruby Henry, grandchildren; J.D. Hamm, Tiffany (Christian) Hamm, Christopher (Alexa) Ferguson, Jennifer (Chris) McGuire, Jacob (Lyn) Davis, Taylor (PJ) Barker, Aaron (Dustie) Davis, as well as many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, close friends that he was both a father-figure and mentor to. Elwood is preceded in death by his parents; Ova and Dorothy Reynolds, late wife in 2011; Diania “Donna” Reynolds, sons; Ova “Bo” Reynolds, Jr. and David Lee Reynolds, daughter; Dorothy "Doti" Reynolds, brothers; Kenny and Chester Reynolds, sisters; Mary “Sissy” Rose and Leathy Mae Reynolds. Elwood “Paw” was a true jack-of-trades who loved to work with his hands on cars, carpentry, excavating, etc. He was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha - Alpha Zeta Chapter, which is a volunteer organization that raises money for many charities. Cystic Fibrosis and Breast Cancer were two of the main charities he gave his time and donations to support. There are not enough words to express what it meant to know and be loved by him. If he had it and you needed it, he would help you or give it to you. The void that will be here will have to be filled with is Spirit and so many great memories. To say Elwood “Paw” will be missed is an understatement. Heaven must have needed a hero, because an angel was claimed. God speed until we all meet again! Visitation will be at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home Thursday, November 18 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. 1500 Manchester Avenue, Middletown, 45042. Funeral services are on Friday, November 19, 2021 1500 Manchester Avenue, Middletown 45042 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jerry Hamm and Rev. George Reynolds officiating.
