Phyllis Faye Coate

Coate, Phyllis Faye age 87, of Middletown, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Atrium Medical Center. She was born July 9, 1932 in Middletown, OH to Harold and Zola (Allen) Birch. Phyllis worked as a waitress at Manchester Inn for thirty years, retiring in 2001. Phyllis was an avid Bengals and Reds fan. Christmas was her favorite time of year. She enjoyed connecting with family and friends on Facebook. Phyllis is survived by her children, Larry Coate, Diane (Dan) Foley, Marilyn Brotherton, Ben (Donna) Coate, Victoria Beltz; grandchildren, Christine, Freddie, William, Matthew, Timothy, Christopher, Samantha, Joshua, Jeremy, Amber, Tyler, Tori; numerous great-grandchildern; sister, Jeanie Lockard; brother, Ronald Birch; and many other loving family members. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Coate; son, Timothy Coate; brother, Allen Birch; sister, Garnet Birch; son-in-laws, Fred Brotherton, Dallas Boggs. A visitation will be held Saturday, December 28, 2019 from 11:00-1:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Ave., Middletown, OH 45005. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Denny Soule officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
