Ray Layne

Ray Benjamin Layne, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. He was born in Ashland, Kentucky on July 23, 1947, to Wash Benjamin and Rachel (Wheeler) Layne.

Ray was a Mechanic for many years before he retired in 1993. He was a devoted member of Astoria Road United Baptist Church, where he was also a Deacon. He will be missed by his beloved wife of 58 years, Carol Layne, his children, Greg (Amy) Layne, Lisa (James) Huepel, Jeff (Janet) Layne, and Tim (Johnna) Layne; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, siblings, Jimmy (Margaret) Layne, Susie (Steve) Kouns, John Layne, Mary Catlin, and Jennifer Short. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Stella Miles and Betty Caudill.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Ave., Middletown, OH, 45005. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.bakerstevensparramore.com.
