Russell Cleveland Oakley

Russell Cleveland Oakley, age 90 of Middletown, Ohio passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021 at his home. He was born January, 26, 1931 in Bath County, Kentucky to Walter and Lillian (Tapp) Oakley. Russell was a Korean War Veteran with an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army after three years of service. He worked at Armco as a welder for 36 years before retiring. He loved to birdwatch. He played the guitar and enjoyed listening to all the good bluegrass tunes. If you knew him, you know how much he loved his Kentucky Wildcats. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. Russell is survived by his children; Tony (Pat) Oakley, Gaye (Chris) Copas, David (Theo) Oakley, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, sisters; Zelma (Lee) Hatcher, Betty (Sterling) Hampton, and brother; Gene (Linda) Oakley. He is preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings. He is in the care of Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.
