Russell Davidson

Davidson, Russell V., age 95, of Lebanon, Ohio passed away August 30, 2018. He was born in Lerado, Ohio on July 6, 1923. His beloved wife, Ruth Marie Koeppe and his parents, Bessie and David Davidson, preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, Carl, and Howard Davidson, his sisters Alfreda Enger and Norma Reveal, and his second wife, Ruth Morgan. He is survived by his sons, Ronald (Jatana), Randall (Bev), and Russell E. (Kim). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Andrew (Kristen), Matthew (Lauren), and Ashley; and step-grandchildren Julie and Brian; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Abby, Marin, and Mira and a host of other family members and friends, including long-time friend Carol Tapp. After graduation from high school in Owensville, Ohio, Russell volunteered for military service. During World War II, he served as an aerial engineer in the Army Air Corps. He was stationed in Asia and in the Pacific theater of operations, including service on Okinawa. After the war, he worked as a machinist at Armco Steel Corp until his retirement. He was a longtime member of Faith United Methodist Church and Hope United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 11:00am-12:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home on Roosevelt Avenue in Middletown, Ohio. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm. Burial will take place at North Monroe Cemetery in Monroe, Ohio.
