Obituary

ARY, Stephanie Jean (Morrow), 67, originally of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, but recently of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2020, at Hospice of Dayton, after a battle with cancer.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Jeanetta Morrow, and husband, Steven Ary. She is survived by her brother Ken Morrow and sister-in-law Jill, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was especially fond of great nephew and niece Carter and Brynlee Rolph.

Stephanie was born December 8, 1952 and spent her entire life in the Oklahoma City area until she moved to Dayton, Ohio with her brother, Ken, as she sought to battle cancer. She was a 1971 graduate of Moore High School and attended Midwest Christian College. She also grew up as a member of the former Antioch Christian Church in Oklahoma City. Stephanie married Steve Ary in 1976 and was married 38 years. Stephanie worked for Hertz Worldwide Reservation Center for several years and then had various jobs in and around the community.

Everyone who knew Stephanie would admit that she was a friend to everyone, and almost always knew someone wherever she went. She loved her Gospel music and would take off and drive a couple hours to go hear a gospel group and once volunteered to watch the artists’ child during the concert. She also enjoyed traveling and was able to do some traveling abroad to Europe as well as traveling in the states. She kept up with her Moore High School Lions class of 71 and helped organize the band reunion. She was already looking forward to the 50th MHS class reunion. “Stephanie’s Crew,” a core group of friends from high school and elementary school was her ongoing support group throughout her cancer battle, as well as close friends from church and her neighborhood. She was loved and supported by many.

A memorial service will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, on Saturday, August 1st at 11:00am, 500 SW 104th St., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with Pastor Don Riepe officiating.
