Tabitha Rae Kendrick

June 11, 1978 ~ August 19, 2021 (age 43) 43 Years Old

Obituary

Tabitha Rae Kendrick, age 43, of Carlisle, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 19, 2021, surrounded by her family and pastor. She was born on June 11, 1978 at Middletown Regional Hospital to loving parents, Darrel and Priscilla Kendrick, the first of nine children.
Tabitha Kendrick lived a life overflowing with joy and her abundant love for God was apparent. Earlier in her life, Tabitha worked with troubled youth in Indianapolis. After this, she spent seven years on the mission field in Mexico and was tremendous blessing to those with whom she served. Upon her return to the states, Tabitha continued in the field of human services, working with adults with developmental disabilities. As a daughter, sister, and friend, Tabitha cared for her loved ones with great compassion, always ready and willing to lend a listening ear, provide encouragement and advice, or crack a joke. However, none of these qualities hold a candle to Tabitha as an aunt. Aunt Tabitha (or “Tabba”) was simply the best. She invested in the lives of her nieces and nephews without restraint, always doing what she could to ensure they each had a full and joyful childhood. Her devotion to them could never be doubted and she treasured each one deeply.
Tabitha had an ear for music, and she enjoyed singing and playing piano (one of many traits she got from her mother). She was also passionate about cooking, always trying out new recipes or perfecting old ones. She used her culinary skills to help out wherever needed, doing something as small as providing bone broth for a sick loved one or as big as catering a wedding. Her contributions and service enriched everything she was involved in, yet her aim was never to draw attention or praise. She faithfully attended and served at Union Road Pentecostal church for most of her life, and deeply valued her church family.
Tabitha is survived by her father, Darrel Kendrick, and siblings; Christina (Keith) Reece of Mansfield, Jared (Katie) Kendrick of St. Louis, MO, Brant (Brittany) Kendrick of Monroe, Nathan Kendrick of NY, NY, Gloria (Ross) Frank of Miamisburg, Violet (Joel) Ponting of West Plains, MO, Valerie (Logan) Whitacre of Granite City, IL, and Evan Kendrick of Carlisle.  She is also survived by her beloved nieces and nephews: Tyler, Ava, Miya, Juil, Callie, Felicity, Annie, London, Brittain, Wyatt, Asher, William, Arwen, Waylon, and Max, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Tabitha was preceded in death by mother, Priscilla Kendrick, grandparents John and Clara Cunningham; grandparents Earl and Laura Kendrick, nieces; Robin Ponting and Mercy Whitacre, Uncle Harvey Kendrick, Aunt Becky Roberts, and cousin; Katie Roberts.
She is in the care of Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home. Reverend Clifford Hurst will be officiating a private graveside service. A public memorial service may occur at a later date (to be determined). Condolences may be sent to www.bakerstevensparramore.com.
