Day, Wanda Joyce, age 82 of Madison Township, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Ohio’s Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. She was born October 25, 1939 in Thornhill, Tennessee. Joyce retired from the Middletown Post Office after 25 years of service in 2003. She was a member of the Trenton Church of the Nazarene. She had a gift of the gab and knew no stranger. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and the Boston Celtics, and watching Dale Jarret NASCAR. She loved ice cream, bowling, making pottery, and listening to Elvis. Joyce suffered a long hard battle with dementia for over 13 years, but even in her time of struggle, she was able to bring joy into so many people’s hearts. Joyce is survived by her daughter, Lori (Dan) Dickerson; son, Brian (Angie) Day; grandchildren, Brandy (Matt) Norman, Shannon (Dave) Elam, Kyle Day, Paige (Cody Proffitt) King; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Abney, Samuel Elam, and Alex Norman; sister, Judy Shelley; special friend, Marlene Kochersperger. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Donald Day; parents, Enoch and Pearl (Jackson) Stapleton; daughter, Dona Day; sisters, Fern Moore and Anna Dalton; grandson, Dusty Fisher. A Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2022 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Ave. Middletown, OH 45005. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at the Funeral Home at 12:00 PM. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
