Warrenetta Sortman

Warrenetta Sortman, age 88 of Trenton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Bickford of Middletown.  She was born to the late Warren Leach and Aurnetia Horn on August 31, 1932 in Springfield, Ohio.  Warrenetta worked for numerous years at Middletown Hospital as a nurse aide.   She was a member of Home Ave First Church of God in Trenton and enjoyed singing in the choir, being a board member for the church as well as teaching Sunday School and being involved in the Lady Mission Group.  Warrenetta was a devoted and loving mom, grandma, great grandma and great-great grandma.  She enjoyed being with her family, traveling to Florida and the Smoky Mountains, tending to her beautiful flower beds in her yard as well as playing the piano.  She also had a special love for antiques.  Warrenetta is survived by her children Robert Sortman, Paul (Jeannie) Sortman, Mary Davis, Melody (David) Gall, Mark (Renee) Sortman, Penny (Terry) Osborne; 14 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert W Sortman; parents Aurnetia and Paul Horn; daughter Michele Sortman and sister Jane Henson.  Private family services, officiated by Todd Wallen, are in the care of Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Home Ave First Church of God 426 E Home Ave Trenton, Ohio 45067.
