William Matthew Jansen, age 64, of Middletown, Ohio passed away September 5, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Bill was born October 25, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of James E Jansen and Mary McGill Jansen. A 1975 graduate of Moeller High School, he played varsity football and baseball. Bill loved his job driving a school bus for Lakota Schools and even worked summers driving the food bus delivering food to needy children in the school district. He was an amazing Husband, Father, Grampy, and friend to many. He lives on though his cherished wife of 44 years, Becky, daughter; Sherry (Phil) Fillios, son; Danny (Beth) Jansen, grandchildren; Rachel, Landon, Theodore, and Colin, brothers; Jim Jansen and Steve (Tess) Jansen. He treasured family time and together they loved hiking in the Smoky Mountains and vacationing in Ft. Myers Beach, Florida. He was an active member of Spring Hill Church of Christ in Middletown, Ohio. He loved volunteering and going on church visits with his friend, Steve Elkins. Bill was generous, charismatic and had life that would fill the room. He is loved and will be sorely missed by many. Forever in our hearts! A special thanks to his Hospice nurses; Sarah, Lorna, and Tammy for their tender care, compassion, and support. Visitation is Friday, September 10 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Avenue, Middletown, Ohio. Funeral Service will be Saturday, September 11 at 10:00 a.m. at Spring Hill Church of Christ 2021 Brell Drive, Middletown, Ohio with interment at Woodside Cemetery.
