I met Dr. Hammond a few weeks ago at Hospice where my mother passed away on Palm Sunday. Dr. Hammond demonstrated so much courage and compassion in dealing with Lori's illness, and my sisters and I enjoyed talking to him as we shared some coffee with him in the lounge. I am praying for Dr. Hammond and his family today. My mother, who passed away at 97, would reflect that life wasn't fair--that she lived so long while others, much younger, went before her. May Lori rest in peace.
